Ace Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant graced the World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026 with his cheerful presence as the Rajasthan Titans and Dilli Dillwale won their respective fixtures tonight. Pant, co-owner of the Mumbai Pickle Power, engaged in a heartfelt exchange with over 150 kids and supporters who flocked the stadium to spur a lively atmosphere and harbour one of the most memorable days in recent WPBL history.
Rajasthan Titans won the game against Mumbai by 4-1, with the Pickle Power’s sole win coming in the men’s singles fixture where Max Green won by 22-19 against Jack Foster.
Titans cruised to their maiden win of the campaign in scintillating style, producing a commanding performance that helped them bag 12 crucial points from this critical fixture, ensuring that there is all to play for all teams as the tournament enters its business end.
Later in the evening, Dilli Dillwale edged ahead by a margin of 3-2, though they had secured the tie in their kitty in the fourth match itself, courtesy of straight wins in the mixed doubles, men’s singles, and women’s doubles games. The most authoritative of these wins was in women’s doubles, when Trang Huynh and Mihae Kwon paired up to defeat the duo of Katie Morris and Sarah Jane Lim by 17-9.
Homegrown hero Vanshik Kapadia bagged three crucial points in Pune’s favour, alongside his doubles partner Mateusz Matysik, as the duo beat Erik Lange and Max Manthou by 15-9.
Regardless, it was Rishabh Pant who evoked an overjoyous atmosphere altogether, bringing a collective smile to the faces of scores of children who were pleased catching a glimpse of the sports icon.
What’s next for all teams?
Mumbai Pickle Power will play their next game against Pune United on February 5. Rajasthan Titans will lock horns with the Bengaluru Jawans tomorrow. Dilli Dillwale will take a two-day-long break and return to action against Rajasthan on February 6.
