Pune United and Bengaluru Jawans won their World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026 encounters at the Jio World Garden against Mumbai Pickle Power and Hyderabad Superstars by identical 3-2 margins tonight.

In a day of comeback wins, both Pune and Bengaluru roared back to win after going down in the first two matches of their ties.

Mumbai began their fixture on a commanding note, with Jada Bui brushing aside Katie Morris by 15-10 in women’s singles.

Brandon Lane alongside Glauka Carvajal Lane rode on that momentum, securing an enthralling 16-1 triumph over Vanshik Kapadia and Sarah Jane Lim in the mixed doubles.

Pune soon got their act together though.

Balint Bako kick-started the comeback, defeating Max Green by 16-12 in the men’s singles game.

Sarah and Madalina Grigoriu were a force to reckon against Glauka and Sabrina Mendez too, registering a 11-8 scoreline against them in women’s doubles.

Vanshik and Mateusz Matysik capped off the victory, as the duo steered ahead by 10-6 against the duo of Brandon Lane and Santhosh Narayanan in the concluding men’s singles fixture.

Earlier in the evening, Bengaluru Jawans edged past the Hyderabad Superstars by 3-2 in a hard-fought encounter.

Kristina Stewart, who has marched ahead with an air of invincibility around her thus far, fell 19-16 to Seone Mendez. The result seemed to be paving the way for a triumph by Hyderabad.

The Superstars doubled down upon this advantage in the mixed doubles match, where Kaitlynn Hart alongside Josep Canyadell defeated the pairing of Mauro Garcia and Brooke Revulta by 13-9.

However, Bengaluru sparked an incredible resurgence thereafter, winning three games in a row, starting with men’s singles where Dusty Boyer rolled past Marcello Jardim by a convincing 17-6 margin.

Stewart returned to the court in women’s doubles, and regained her spark as Revuelta, too, helped her in handing Mendez and Hart a 14-10 defeat.

With the scores level at 2-2, it was upon the men’s doubles duo to decide the fate of the contest.

Eventually, it was Eunggwon Kim and Eduardo Irizarry who won 14-9 against Mayur Patil and Louis Laville, rounding off a comeback win for the ages.
