In an interesting development, I-League side Sreenidi Deccan FC has decided to part ways with Portuguese coach Rui Amorim, FieldVision can exclusively confirm.
A source close to the development stated, “After just 3 wins and 11 points from 10 games, the club has decided to part ways with the head coach.”
Rui was appointed by the Hyderabad club in September after the club decided to part ways with Domingo Oramas who was initially appointed in August but was sacked 50 days into his role even before the start of the new season as exclusively revealed by Fieldvision in September.
Sreenidi Deccan find themselves in 9th position of the I-League table despite having one of the best squads in the league. The Telangana club have finished as runners-up in the two successive seasons before the current season under the leadership of Carlos Vaz Pinto.
Rui Amorim the UEFA -A licence holder was unemployed for a long time before his stint at Sreenidi Deccan FC. With around half a season to go, who the Deccan club will sign next at the helm of affairs remains to be seen.
