Chennai Super Champs and Hyderabad Superstars defeated Mumbai Pickle Power and Pune United by margins of 4-1 and 3-2 respectively on Day 3 of the World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026 at the Jio World Gardens tonight.
Chennai continued their dominant run by triumphing in all matches barring the mixed doubles clash, where Brandon Lane and Glauka Carvajal Lane beat the duo of Ly Hoang Nam and Ava Cavatio by 17-10.
Amongst the remaining fixtures, Chennai specifically dominated the men’s singles and men’s doubles encounters. Hoang Nam beat Max Green by a commanding margin of 28-7, before Do Minh Quan and Tanner Tomassi breezed past Santhosh Narayanan and Tejas Mahajan by 19-4.
Earlier in the evening, Hyderabad overcame Pune by a slender margin of 3-2. Seone Mendez tilted the encounter in their favour with a solid 25-14 outing, and Balint Bako returned the favour in men’s singles with a 19-12 win over Hyderabad’s Marcello Jardim.
The mixed doubles fixture is where affairs intensified though. Pune’s Thaddea Lock-William Sobek pairing drew 9-9 to Kaitylynn Hart and Josep Canyadell.
The last two matches were the women’s and men’s doubles ones respectively. While Pune won the former, Hyderabad emerged victorious in the latter with Canyadell and Louis Laville edging past William Sobek and Vanshik Kapadia by 11-10.

That pushed the game into the tie-breaker, where Hyderabad’s mixed doubles duo of Laville and Hart defeated Sobek’s duo with Sarah Jane Lim, courtesy of a 10-8 margin.

Chennai Super Champs play their next game against Rajasthan Titans on January 30. On Day 5, Mumbai Pickle Power return to action against Bengaluru Jawans on January 31. Hyderabad Superstars and Pune United will be locking horns against Dilli Dillwale and Rajasthan Titans respectively on February 1.
